Captain William H. Blanchard

William H. Blanchard was the son of James Blanchard, Jr. & Mary Young Clifford Blanchard. He was born in1836 and died in September, 1904. He was a passenger on the Bark Willard Mudgett, commanded by his son Captain Frederick Pendleton Blanchard, when the vessel sank with no survivors. Captain Blanchard commanded the Ship Alice Buck; the Ship Bosphorus, 1863 -65 (wrecked at Valencia, Spain); the Bark Wealthy Pendleton, 1874-83; the Ship Phineas Pendleton, 1883-85 (burned in Manila, 1885); the Ship Governor Robie, 1886-88; the Bark Evanell, 1891-95; the Bark Henry Buck, 1876; the Bark Herbert Black, 1890-91,1896,1900-01; the Bark Addie Morell, 1902; the Bark Tijuca; and the Bark Czarina.
